Back from our hiatus!

When all three of us get busy, it means we neglect our website! We are back now! Richelle has a new baby girl (Welcome Sami!). Lynnette has graduated from school. Serena is spending more time doing births in Northern Colorado. We want to start some childbirth classes, doula services, promote healthy pregnancy and birth and more.

I do believe that to prepare for birth, some face to face time with a consultant, educator, or birth professional is a good decision, online resources can help solidify the learning experience.

New research about childbirth

Yes, I saw your eyes glaze over when you read the word research! There is always so much information coming out about all things health related, that we sometime ignore it, don’t we? Greeley Birth House is going to have a pregnancy and birth related Evidence Based Research night coming up soon, so this is a head’s up.

Questions that I have and hope that you do to:

Is natural childbirth worth the work?
What is the new evidence about epidural use in labor?
Does having a cesarean section affect the mom later? How about future pregnancies or births?
Should I choose the day baby is born or let labor start on it’s own? What does the evidence say?
